Meet Your Class Leader

Hi, I’m Anita. I have a Degree and Masters Degree in Psychology, a diploma in Human Resources and I’m also a trained Montessori teacher. My hobbies include swimming, exercise classes and Yoga. I also love food….especially chocolate!!

I am married and am a mother to two grown up sons. I used to sing and play music to my children before they were born, and take them to music classes when they were little. They have both grown up with an appreciation of music; one is a music scholar.

Before I started Caterpillar Music, I was a Montessori Teacher. I loved to watch children develop and grow in all aspects of learning and I always incorporated music and creative dance into the nursery day. Running Caterpillar Music gives me the same excitement watching my caterpillars develop into butterflies. I also love watching friendships develop within class, not just between the children, but also between parents.

My proudest moment is Winning the Most Loved Music and Dance Franchise in the What’s On 4 Kids Awards 2021 and receiving the Highly Commended Award for Most Loved Activity Leader in London.

It’s a fun and happy atmosphere. Everyone is welcome; children, parents, grandparents, carers etc. It’s a magical time for children and grown-ups to spend time together singing, dancing, dressing up and having lots of fun! Many friendships have been formed in classes.

Each class has a planned weekly theme with nursery rhymes and songs. Through the use of exciting props, beautiful puppets and colourful instruments, the children are kept engaged and focused throughout each 40 minute class.

Hi, I’m Dominique. I’m a passionate educator dedicated to leading interactive and educational music and movement sessions for babies and toddlers at Caterpillar Music. I have over six years of experience in performing arts education, creating engaging sessions for students from toddlers to teenagers, ensuring that fun is at the heart of every activity. Holding a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance from the London Studio Centre and a Diploma in Musical Theatre from the University of Chichester Conservatoire, I create varied and engaging experiences that cater to each child's unique developmental journey. My sessions foster physical, language, and social skills in a supportive environment, making every child feel welcome and inspired to explore their creativity through music and movement.

Gracelyn

Hi, I’m Gracelyn! Originally from Manchester, I moved to London to follow my love for performing and have been dancing since I was 2. With over 10 years of teaching experience, I specialise in fun, engaging parent and child classes that combine dancing, singing, and sensory play. I’m passionate about creating a warm, welcoming space where little ones can explore movement, rhythm, and sound, all while building confidence and having fun with their grown-ups!As a mum of two, I am passionate about engaging with children through play, movement and music-because engaging with the world in such a fun way builds a foundation of trust that will carry our children through life! So, why don’t you join me for a moment of laughter and fun-I’d love to meet you and your little one(s)!

Hi, my name is Kat and I love being active, Karate, singing and spending time with my 2 children. When my youngest started school, it was time to wrap up my Masters in Public Administration and start afresh with Caterpillar Music, because doing the things we love is what we do best!
As a mum of two, I am passionate about engaging with children through play, movement and music-because engaging with the world in such a fun way builds a foundation of trust that will carry our children through life! Hello, my name is Jade and I have been part of the Caterpillar Music team for the past 4 years. I have always had a passion for music, drama, ballet and choir.
I believe it is a great way for children to build self esteem, develop empathy for others and learn to express their emotions through music and movement.

I am mum to one and I have 15 years of experience working with children and leading classes and parties.
I am looking forward to our next musical adventure together at Caterpillar Music.

Each party is filled with music, singing, dancing, instruments, puppets, parachute play, sensory lights, bubbles and a present for the birthday child. For older children, we include party games with prizes, pass the parcel and karaoke.
We also offer balloon modelling and glitter tattoos. (Snow machine is optional).

We have a great playlist with all the favourite songs and we can also add your child’s favourites to our list.
We can tailor our parties to any theme of your choice.
