Hello! I’m Anna, a married, mummy of 2 who loves dancing, singing, being silly and family Sunday lunches (I have a large extended family, all of whom descend on my parents every week to catch up and enjoy each other’s company)
Before taking on my Caterpillar Music Franchise in 2014 I was a primary school teacher for 20 years. I LOVE teaching and have never lost my passion for watching children learn something new. After teaching for some time, I decided it was time for a break. This time away from the classroom gave me the opportunity to look at what I really wanted from life and being a happy mummy was at the centre…Caterpillar Music was my answer and the rest, as they say, is history.
Having been a franchisee for a number of years, I am now at the point of seeing families return to my classes with the second or even third child or grandchild; the excitement of watching children and their carers learn new things is still as amazing as ever and I feel incredibly fortunate to witness these ‘firsts’ on a daily basis.
I am incredibly proud of how far my business has come. I began with just 6 classes in local village halls but now run 19 a week in a variety of settings; village halls, day nurseries, play centres, cafes and care homes. My intergenerational classes are my pride and joy. I began visiting my first care home in March 2015; taking children and their carers into the home to enjoy their class with the elderly residents. I now have 7 homes I visit regularly and the bonds I am watching grow between children, their families and residents are magical.
Everyone is welcome at my classes; children, parents, grandparents, childminders, nannies and anyone else who would like to join the fun! Classes are incredibly relaxed with no pressure to sit still. Free exploration and play is encouraged but if your little one is shy and wants to simply watch, that is fine too. There is no expectation for parents to sing along but all voices are celebrated…it is a time to bond with your child and to meet other carers with children of a similar age.

Who doesn’t enjoy a good party? I love entertaining at special occasions and will happily work with any theme you give me to provide an engaging party for your child and their guests. I offer 2 party packages, one of an hour and another, for my younger caterpillars, of 40 minutes. You will be amazed at how much we can fit into an hour…puppets, instruments, scarves, parachute games, ribbons, action songs and of course bubbles…no party is complete without them!

I’m originally from Sunderland and moved to Newark 8 years ago and am now part of the amazing Caterpillar Music family.
Growing up music played a huge part of my life, learning to play the clarinet and saxophone. I also took part in the school musical productions.
I have taken part in the sessions with my son since he was a baby, we both love them so much I thought “why not do it as a job”.
I am fun, energetic and a little bit silly.

Hello I’m Jo. I have had a wonderful and varied career in Performing Arts with my main passion being teaching.
Even though I’ve worked with children all my life becoming a Mummy was a massive shock to the system. Baby classes were my saviour and I decided that I wanted to explore this avenue in the future and try and give back.
When my first born was 3 we relocated from Surrey to Lincolnshire, a few weeks later we joined Anna’s Caterpillar Music classes and soon after the opportunity arose to work with Anna.
I now have number 2 and after having a year off I’m back with a refreshed knowledge of babies and toddlers and joining you all with bigger bags under my eyes but an even bigger heart.
I hope to see you in a class very soon to play some music , have lots of fun and make some happy memories.
Hello, I’m Eloise!
I’m a personal trainer, gym lover, and proud new mummy to a little boy. Since stepping into motherhood, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with taking my little one to baby classes—sometimes I think I enjoy them even more than he does! There’s nothing more special than watching children light up at new songs, toys, and activities. That joy is what inspired me to join the magic of Caterpillar Music, and I’m so excited to now be teaching classes.
Before becoming a personal trainer and a mum, I taught baby and pre-school swimming, as well as gymnastics and trampolining. I loved being part of those early stages of development, celebrating every milestone and watching them learn and grow.
I can’t wait to meet you and your little ones soon!
